The Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Many people in Cambodia celebrate it with their Chinese friends and family, but our own traditional New Year, known as the Khmer/Cambodia New Year , is actually in April. It marks the end of the harvest season and a start of a new beginning!
One of the most important traditions during Khmer New Year is visiting temples and stupas. We also have the traditional Apsara dance and a water blessing ritual to bring good luck.
