What are some effective hair moisturizers for African American hair?

I'm looking for recommendations on good hair moisturizers specifically formulated for African American hair. My hair tends to be dry and brittle, and I've tried a few products that haven’t worked well for me. I’m interested in moisturizers that can provide long-lasting hydration, help with curl definition, and improve overall hair health.
If you have any personal experiences or specific product recommendations, please share! Additionally, tips on how to properly apply these moisturizers for the best results would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Use a deep conditioner that contains natural oils or fats such as shea butter, argan oil, or coconut oil. Apply the deep conditioner from root to tip, concentrating on the ends. Wrap your hair in a towel.

Hey there! I totally get the struggle with dry and brittle hair. For African American hair, you might want to check out products like SheaMoisture's Curl Enhancing Smoothie or Cantu's Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream. Both are super hydrating and great for curl definition!

Another good one is the Mielle Organics Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner. It’s really moisturizing and smells amazing too!

As for application, try applying your moisturizer on damp hair for better absorption. You can also use the "LOC" method (Liquid, Oil, Cream) to lock in moisture. Just remember to not overdo it—start with a small amount and add more if needed. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes!
