Hey there, folks! I'm curious about something and thought you might have the answer. How many pigs do you reckon there are in China? I've heard some wild numbers floating around, but I'd like to get some real data. Any ideas? 🐷💬

The country's live pigs were slaughtered by 363.95 million head, down 3.1% year-on-year;
At the end of the second quarter, the national stockpile of live pigs was 415.33 million heads, down 19.84 million heads or 4.6% year-on-year, and up 6.84 million heads or 1.7% from the same period last year;
At the end of the second quarter, the national stock of breeding sows was 40.38 million heads, down 2.59 million heads or 6.% year-on-year; an increase of 0.46 million heads or 1.1% from the previous year.
