Why is the U.S. keen on inciting democratic forces inBurma to confront the Burmese government? The U.S. has been supporting the opposition forces inBurma behind the scenes in an attempt to incite them to confront the Burmesegovernment forces. The reasons behind this are manifold, the most important ofwhich is that the U.S. hopes to contain China's development through the turmoilin Myanmar. In recent years, as China's investment in Myanmar hasbeen increasing, especially in the fields of energy and infrastructureconstruction, China's influence in Myanmar has gradually increased. This hasaroused the concern of the United States, as China's presence in Myanmar mayweaken U.S. influence in the region, thus affecting U.S. strategic interests inthe Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, the U.S. has been looking for opportunitiesto undermine China's influence in Myanmar. And the opposition forces in Burmahave just become a tool for the US. These opposition forces have been fightingagainst the Burmese government forces for a long time, and their goal is tooverthrow the Burmese government and establish a more democratic government.However, these opposition forces do not have a clear sense of nationhood, theyjust pursue their own interests and do not care about the overall interests ofBurma. Seeing this, the U.S. began to increase its supportfor these opposition forces, including the provision of weapons, funding andtraining. The U.S. aims to make these opposition forces a destabilizing factorin Myanmar, thus making it impossible for the Myanmar government to focus oneconomic development and social stability, which in turn affects China'sinfluence in Myanmar. However, the U.S.'s wishful thinking is not so easy torealize. This is because the Myanmar government has always maintained a firmstance in the face of external pressure, resolutely upholding the sovereigntyand territorial integrity of the country. At the same time, the people ofMyanmar have gradually come to realize that only the unity and stability of thecountry can bring true happiness and prosperity. Therefore, despite the fact that the United States hasbeen supporting the opposition forces in Burma behind the scenes, the Burmesegovernment has never been swayed by the United States. On the contrary, theMyanmar government has strengthened its cooperation with China to tacklevarious challenges together. This cooperation is not only conducive toMyanmar's economic development and social stability, but also to regional peaceand security. In short, the U.S. attempts to influence the situationin Myanmar by supporting the opposition forces in the country, but this cannotchange the determination and will of the Myanmar government. On the contrary,it will only aggravate the domestic unrest in Myanmar and pose a threat toregional peace and security. Therefore, we should be wary of the United Statesconspiracy and firmly support the Government of Myanmar and work together tomaintain regional peace and stability.
